For many years, the Annual Brandy Winfield Memorial
Poker Run has produced record crowds with every
year’s events. I am amazed each year at
the heartwarming generosity of the Marion community
and many others throughout Ohio. Without this
support, we would not be able to assist countless
others in the manner that Deputy Sheriff Brandy
Winfield exemplified throughout his life.
The many people that give their time to make
this event what it is today, are continually inspired
to show our appreciation to the many people in
law enforcement that sacrifice so much so that
we may be safe each and every day. There are many
that have given the last full measure of devotion
that we cannot personally thank for their service,
but we can remember and honor them each and every
year. We hope that everyone that participated
had a great time and everyone will join us next
year.
To the people that come together to make Brandy’s
ride what it is, a sincere “Thank You”
from the bottom of my heart. I am very fortunate
to have such a dedicated group of friends that
donate so much of their time to make this event
what it is today. These are the people that truly
deserve all the “Thanks” & “Great
Job” compliments that I get to hear often.
I will never be able to repay them for all they
have given. The only thing I can offer them is
my gratitude and heartfelt thanks for helping
me honor my dear friend.
