The Marion FOP lodge or the Steve Young Memorial
Lodge honors the dedication and spirit of Steve
Young who was once quoted as saying:
"We choose a career on
the front line — squaring off against
those who would do battle with society. We willingly
place ourselves in harm's way — because
that's the American way."
With roots as a police officer in Marion, Ohio,
Steve Young became a tireless and influential
advocate for law enforcement professionals and
a trusted advisor to the federal government. 
In a tragically shortened but meteoric union
career, Young was elected president of the Ohio
Fraternal Order of Police in 1988, national vice
president of the FOP in 1997, and national president
in 2001. Along the way he helped develop innovative
and widely adopted programs to aid psychologically
traumatized officers and improve police labor-management
relations.
Beginning in 2001 he worked with the Department
of Justice on ways to resolve police-related civil
rights issues and served on the post-9/11 Homeland
Security Advisory Council. He also helped develop
the Department of Labor's "Resources and Investments
in Spousal Employment" scholarships to aid families
of fallen law enforcement officers. In 2003 the
scholarships were renamed in his memory.

Mission Statement
IGA Hometown Wheels is a program originated
by IGA Supermarkets in conjunction  with
local businesses, and with the support
of sponsors to further the message of
IGA as the Hometown Proud retailer.
This program was designed to promote
networking and good will of those businesses
centered on family fun activities while
increasing awareness of their communities
and benefiting worthy charities and/or
causes.
In conjunction with other sponsors,
IGA Hometown Wheels will promote a
series of community run activities
with the local IGA stores acting as
a catalyst for community fundraising
events.
IGA Hometown Wheels invites IGA Supermarkets,
local businesses, clubs, associations,
and sponsors to further support hometown
pride by helping to bring communities
together through interaction and involvement,
combining forces to utilize the "wheels"
program in an effort to give something
back to their communities, clubs or
associations by supporting selected
worthy causes.

Thiel's was born from

Not all of "Thiel's Wheels"
had motors attached! We don't sell
skateboards anymore, but what you
will find on our floors are representative

ride, both on the road and off, so
we have a personal knowledge of the
concerns and issues facing the enthusiast
today. We have been involved with
various forms of power sport competition,
with back-to-back drag-racing championships
in 1999 and 2000. In the 2001 year,
we were #1 in the Eastern Division,
and with a prototype bike, took the
#2 National position.
Whether you stop by to grab a cup
of free coffee or just to say hello, we are here
to greet you as friends in our home. We are proud
to say that we have friends from all over the
world who have made Thiel's Wheels their choice
for buying motorcycles, parts, and accessories.
It is not unusual to see trailers from other states
bringing their bikes to us for service.
Many of our customers have remarked that Thiel's
just "feels like home." The reason is
simple. We love our jobs and we love to share
time with those who love this sport as much as
we do!
